Our chilli based condiments celebrate combining Italians' love of food, with fresh Australian produce. Made in the northern suburbs of Melbourne.

According to Nonna, the Italian version of Olive Tapenade must include chilli. Using locally grown Kalamata olives this delicacy has been perfectly & carefully curated over the years. With just the right amount of herbs and spice, our tapenade is gluten free and vegan friendly.  

Recipe Inspiration

Our chilli olive tapenade is the perfect addition to your next antipasto platter, spread generously over freshly baked bread. Elevate your tapenade to main meal status by tossing it through pasta, or pairing it with pork chops, chicken dishes, steak, and even seafood like shrimp, mussels and scampi. 

The Bippi Story

In 1955 our nonna Emilia migrated from the region of Calabria in Italy, to a small country town in rural Victoria named Mildura. With her came a collection of traditional hand made recipes, one of which was her chilli, or what the family would call … Bippi.

Front and centre on the dining table at every meal, made from ingredients grown on her family farm in Mildura, these jars full of spice, flavour and goodness were designed to go with everything.

Flash forward 65 years, through capturing the true Italian flavour and combining the highest quality Australian produce, her grandson Ben decided it was time to share these with the world.

Our Process

Made fresh

Our chillies are cooked, jarred and on shelves within days of being picked from the farm, allowing for the freshest possible flavour.

Made by hand

To ensure Bippi’s quality, our produce is triple checked prior to the cutting process, with each chilli stem removed by hand.

Made Italian

Adding only oil, salt and white vinegar, our chilli are cooked fresh without any drying or fermenting to create a natural Italian flavour.

Australian Kalamata Olives, Cayenne Pepper, Parsley, Capers, Salt, Sunflower Oil, Garlic, White Vinegar.


Store in a cool dry place. Recommend to refrigerate once opened.
