Who we are
This site is operated as Chef Prep at https://chefprep.com.au. We are an Australian recipe publisher. If you want to get in touch, the easiest way is via our contact page or by emailing [email protected].
What we collect
We collect the minimum data needed to run the site:
- Comments & contact form submissions — name, email, IP address and the message you send us. Used only to reply, moderate spam, and keep a record of correspondence.
- Newsletter sign-up — your email address (when you choose to subscribe), held only to send recipes and occasional updates. Unsubscribe at any time from the footer of any email.
- Analytics — anonymous, aggregated visit data (pages viewed, country, device type) used to understand which recipes are popular. We do not build a profile of individual visitors.
- Cookies — small text files set by WordPress for comment author convenience and by our caching plugin to serve the site faster. No third-party advertising cookies are set by us directly.
How we use it
We use the information above to deliver the recipes you ask for, reply to enquiries, moderate spam, and improve which content we write next. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information.
How long we keep it
Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely so we can recognise repeat commenters and follow conversations. Contact-form messages are deleted after twelve months unless an active enquiry is ongoing. Newsletter subscribers stay on the list until they unsubscribe.
Third parties
Our hosting, email delivery and analytics are provided by reputable third parties operating under their own privacy obligations. Embedded content (for example, YouTube videos in recipe posts) behaves as if you visited the originating site and may set its own cookies.
Your rights
You may request a copy of any personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe (under the Australian Privacy Principles).
Changes to this policy
If we materially change how we handle your data we will update this page and bump the “last updated” date at the top.
